The human genome project's main goal was to read the entire human genome. It stared in 1990 they found new tools in 1991 new research groups were found in 1992 in 1996 they developed new laws and found out the yeast genome

1997 they found the E.coli genome. In 1998 they found worm genome, in 1999 one billion letters were read. Between 1999 and 2000 the first completed chromosome.

2000 they read fruit fly genome in 2001 there was a publication.

The human genome project had forever changed the way we think about the life sciences.

The speed of genomics

In 2000 The human genome project took $3 billion to complete as well as 13 years.

Today the genomes of thousands of different animals and plants and bugs have been read.

Genomics reads and analyses large amounts of DNA information quickly and efficiently.
